Ceasing Agent Services at end of exisitng tenancy

i there ,,

I have used an agent to find and manage my flat for the last 2 years . Now that the tenancy agreement is about to come to an end , I would like to manage the property myself and keep existing tenant . I am told I just need to let the agent know but it seems too easy to be true !!!
