Earthstone kitchen work surfaces

Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of these? (They are available from Wickes and B & Q, among other places).

Good? Bad? Pros? Cons? How do they compare with normal laminate worktops, or with granite/quartz, or Corian-type ones?
