When getting quotes for landlord building (no contents) most insurers ask for tenant details (i.e working or DSS), the price between quotes is substantial (i.e 45% increase for DSS tenant) - question is under the current system where benefit is paid to the tenant, how is a landlord suppose to know if a tenant is working or dss claimant.
In particular, a tenant may be working at the time of tenancy, but later the tenant claims benefit (does it apply to JSA, or HB only?) - is the insurance then invalid?
Has anyone had any issues over this?
