I am towards the end of legal action to evict a tenant for rent arrears. This has been to court and I have been granted an order for possession on or before Jan 16th.The tenant is naturally not communicating with me and on visiting the property a ground floor flat the curtains are drawn and the windows have been blocked out with bin liner making it impossible to ascertain whether there us anyone in residence or not. My question is can I enter the
property to see whether it has in fact been abandoned. Do I need to wait for a warrant for possession and the bailiffs which I understand will take another month from the 16th and involves another application to the court? The lease stipulates that I may gain access to inspect the property having given 24 hours notice
