Hi,
I mentioned recently that it looked like we had a midnight runner tenant. They have been unresponsive and we are due to take back possession by forfeiture over the weekend on advice from solicitor.
They had a gas supply fitted when they moved in so I expect their supplier will have been trying to get paid and failed.
What is the LL's responsibility here - do I contact the supplier (I don't have any of their bills, just was told their supplier by our own supplier) and find out the situation, tell them the lease is forfeit?
What is the situation with the meter they had fitted. Can I force the supplier to remove it and chase the previous tenant for the fee (we don't want it in)?
Thanks
