I have let a two bedroomed flat to a retired couple for more than two years (they have renewed their tenancy twice before). I have storage heaters throughout the flat but recently I have been receiving complaints that the one of the two in the lounge does not provide enough warmth throughout the evening and night (heater is luke warm only). I have had an electrician and a heating engineer to look at the heater and they have been unable to find anything wrong with it. Unfortunately it seems as though some of the next door neighbours have installed central heating and I suspect there is an element of "keeping up with the jones'" with this. The flat is warm when I have been round on an evening and I am loathe to get anybody else in to take a look. I am tempted to ask them to contribute towards these past callouts as no fault has been found. Their lease runs out in September and I am tempted to give notice then. Has anybody else had similar experiences?
