Dear All,
I have issued a letter to my tenant 1 month prior to the end of the agreement, stating that i am extending the tenancy on a monthly basis plus a rent increase.
The tenancy is a short-hold agreement.
The tenant has not reply to this letter.
The tenant has stopped paying rent at month 11. It is now month 13, nearly 14.
I issued the tenant a section 8 notice 2 months after none-payment. The section 8 notice 2 weeks elapsed yesterday.
Should i issue a section 21 notice?
I now want to visit the property to check the state. i issued a letter 4 days in advance and the tenant say's i can't visit during this weekend.
Can i still enter the property?
I would appreciate anyone’s thoughts.
Plus any thoughts on the quickest way to remove the tenant?
My next step is possession order but this may take some time.
thanks in advance
John
