Can someone please give me advice.
I am new to HMO. I have 5 tenants and need to get a licence. The house is in order with regards to alarms, doors and whats required.
There is one area which concerns me. As i did not for certain know that i was going down the HMO route, for i was hoping to have a family renting, the best and only offer came from five professionals.
I then did the safety building requirements etc.
On the form i am filling in for the licence it requires me to tell the London council details of my buy to let mortgage. What i am not sure of- is my mortgage company accepting an HMO let.
I am now caught between a rock and a hard place. I left London for financial reasons and will find it very difficult to transfer a mortgage especially with penalties.
Is there any way of finding out which councils directly inform the mortgage company and the ones that don't. The house i refer to is in Old Kent Road, Southwark, South London
