Can my landlord evict me for getting HB?

Hi all! First of all, I'm a tenant, not a landlord, but I was hoping you could give me some advice.

I rented my current flat three years ago with my then partner - after a few months, we split and I was left all alone with our baby, so I made a claim for HB, which I got. I have been paying my rent in advance by standing order since then, never been late, but also I didn't want to tell my landlord about this. The reason is that I rent from a big agency who are very strict with credit checks, references etc

Anyway I recently got a letter from HB asking me for a letter from my landlord that said that my payments were up to date. I asked and my LL asked what it was for. I didn't want to lie, so I told them I had been getting help from the council towards my rent.

Is there any way they can try to evict us or make our life impossible for getting HB?
