I bought a property to rent ouand took out landlords buildings insurance, unable to find a tenant rather than leave it empty I moved in myself, I didnt think to inform buildings insurance company as I may have found a tenant shortly. While I was on holiday I had burst pipe in loft casing alot of damage. The buildings insurers are refusing to pay out as they say I should ot have been living there. Although now they are asking for proof that I was living there which I have provided. I am awaiting a final decision. I couldnt see anything in policy saying I couldn't live there. Any advice gratefully received.thanks
