I would be interested on what other landlords with portfolios do. some of my properties with gas combi are insured on BG home care package min fee & 50 callout, newer boilers I self insure then get my gas man to fix. The latter is fine unless major repairs are needed.
Would I be better biting the bullet and
putting all my properties with BG
Advantages with BG are certainty and they can normally get to my properties next morning, which is difficult for my gas man if he is in middle of big job.
