Cracks in wall

Not sure if this is the correct section to be putting this question.

I went for a final viewing of the first floor maisonette I am thinking of purchasing, I noticed a verticals stepped crack through the grouting from the bottom of the top floor corner window going down about 3 feet and the same on the bottom floor corner window going down to the ground.
There is a large cut down tree stump about 8 feet from the corner of the building where the cracks are.
I spoke to the owner who said he repaired the cracks with new grouting, you can see the signs of the repair. He said he had done this about 2 yrs ago and it has not cracked since.

When he had a survey done he was told that it was nothing to worry about, he was advised to repair the cracks with new grouting, the bricks had not been broken just the grouting.
Looking at the building it looks very square, no sagging etc. Should I be concerned?
If this was caused by the tree that has now been chopped, will this cracking have been stop?:(sweat):
