Is there such a thing as a list of private landlords? I need to move a.s.a.p but all the letting agencies have such strict rules we're never going to find anywhere to go. My husband is on long term sick through no fault of his own, which means we are claiming housing benefit and because of this all the agencies are saying we have to have a guarantor. We are both aged 60 and we do not know anyone that can do this, and pride would not allow us to ask anyway. I work, so the h/b makes up a small part of the rent.
