I have been in a rented property for nearly 4 years now, when I moved in the carpets and paint, bathroom an kitchen where in a bit of a state already. I've done a few bits of paint small areas, done a few repairs so make the place tidy etc but now it's getting to the point where things are just wearing out and need replacing.
The carpets are now getting thinner and thinner and stating to come up, the bathroom ceiling paint is flaking again(I painted it last), the walls need paiting, the kitchen units are falling apart, and flooring in the bathroom is moving and needs redoing. This is just a few things among many.
So what happens in the situation?, does it just stay like this until I move out?, or is there a certain time your in a property before it's refurbished?, they must take into account wear and tear surely?. Its getting to the point now if they do raise my rent again I may as well move because the money im paying I can get a nice condition flat for the same money.
Anyhelp is apreciated thanks.
