Hi all,
I bought a house in the suburbs of Sheffield way back in 2000, that I've now paid off. I've moved into the city centre to experience a bit of city living, and I have recently decided to take the plunge into letting out my little house.
So, the first time for me and everything is all new. I've employed a Lettings Agency and they've found me a tenant who will move in early July. That gives me time to sort things, like insurance.
I've started looking at Landlord's Insurance, using some of the links on here too, and yesterday was a busy day with a number of phone calls with brokers and some on-line quoting.
I am surprised by the great range in quotes for cover that is as close to the same as possible (£100,000 rebuild, £2,000 contents, typical other items)... quotes seem to range from £100.74 to £279.79 - with a variety inbetween... £113.16, £116.00, £117.35, £132.59 and £220.
The least expensive appears to be Simple Landlord's Insurance. Without asking too much detail, is there experience on here that would say this is a reputable company and one I should seriously consider?
(Just had a call from CIA who said they would put me through to someone else who could ask more questions and get me a better deal, she did that, the person asked me more question then gave me the same quote they had done on-line yesterday! Wasn't impressed with that :o:)
Anyway, any help and advice gratefully received (I am willing to do my own research etc. and put effort into getting the - hopefully - best deal).
Cheers, Hippo
