Should buyers solicitor have copy of TR1 - Land registry form - signed by vendor.

Hi Everyone,

I recently completed on a property and in order to let it , i need a copy of the TR1 which would confirm I own the property ( this is what the letting agent have requested).

I asked my solicitor for a copy on completion day and i received a copy which i had signed and had been witnessed. It did not have signature of vendor nor stamp of vendors solicitor or even mine.

I asked for a copy which had been signed by vendor and stamped by his vendor but my solicitor said he does not have a copy. I said surely he can ask his counterpart to scan and send via email because that has been the method used for most documentation. He said he cannot guarantee he would get this copy.

Surely he would need to have seen a signed and stamped copy before releasing the mortgage funds?
