Who should be on AST if only one paying

Hi,

I have a prospective tenant who is looking to rent my apartment with his girlfriend and his daughter. He appears to be ok financially, but his girlfriend is studying and therefore has no income.

My question is, should both of them be named on the AST even if only he is going to be paying the rent.

What are my options here.
