I am about to start letting a property (previously my main residence) as a holiday let. Not a new build (circa 1820) and not an HMO so my legal requirements on fire is not complicated.
However, there are currently two battery operated fire alarms, and I have twice before let the property for a couple of weeks as holiday let, and inevitably I come back to the batteries having been removed (small place, burning toast or oil in frying pan will set them off), so want to install something a bit less tamper-proof.
I'd prefer to go down wireless system route than hardwired, property is complex to wire, but can't find much info on how easy to permanently easy to deactivate various systems are for a tenant.
I've never seen either in operation so does anyone have any advice? Is there a system where they have to reset it after an alarm as opposed to leaving it turned off?
Many Thanks
