I moved out on 28th June, signed checkout form with agents who wrote everything was good, but they had written on the bottom of the form "subject to landlords approval". A week later I called the agents to ask about my deposit (which has all been protected properly) and was told that the Landlord has now been in the house (6 days after I left) and wants the carpets vacuumed, there had been workmen in the house since we left but knowing the Landlord was going to be awkward, I collected the keys and did as was asked.
I called the agents a week later to ask again about my deposit and was told that the Landlord had just been back in the house and now had another list of problems, weeds in front garden, cobwebs in house, marks on walls etc. I have no worries about anything, as the house was cleaned very well, garden had been mowed and the few marks were nothing really to report.
My question is, how many times can the landlord go back after the tenant has left, to find issues. The landlord is, as expected, withholding just over 25% of my deposit, it is in dispute but I still have not been told what for, I have asked the agents but they will not say.
