Folks,
I moved into a property having a direct arrangement with the owner without the owner providing any inventory checklist when I moved in. After around 1 month, when I followed up on TDS which he promised he would put it within one month of agreement, he has forwarded a inventory check out report done for the old tenant 1 month before I moved in. He now wants me to suggest any changes to this old check out report performed by an independent agency and then sign the inventory list before making the TDS deposit.
I am not comfortable signing the detailed old check out report, as I may not identify all issues with the property if there was any change.
What are my options now? The owner has rejected my offer to do a professional inventory check in now because its already 1 month since I have moved in?
