Court order issued for payment of arrears in 14 days, what next? Inc DPS position.

Hi,
We had the usual situation as many others where T stopped paying and so a Section 8 notice was issued. T doesnt respond so a court date is set and on the date, T sends a text to say he's vacated and won't be attending court.

The judge says he will issue a notice to pay the arrears + court fee to be payable in 14 days. Copy of notice arrived today and was sent to T's parents address (his previous address and also local)

I can't confirm that he's back at his parents but have to assume that he will be forwarded the notice. I'm under no illusions that he will suddenly pay the arrears given he's now on benefits, so I wonder what the next step is? I'm assuming that the 14 days have to expire, but do I have to issue a default notice for a court judgement to be made on the default?

Also, DPS. The tenant cheekly tried to reclaim the deposit which I declined, so it's now sitting in a dispute state; but I notice I need a court judgement for the deposit to paid to myself? At what point can I start these proceedings? Obviously he owes me money, but as you can imagine the property wasn't left in a re-let able state!

Appreciate any advice people can offer out there.

Thanks
