Insurance for Rent

Is it worth taking out insurance to cover rent arrears from tenants?

I've heard it costs £2-£3pm and it covers the rent, as long as the tenant can prove them make 2.5time the rent pm

Is this commonly used?

Which insurers would you recommend?
