My tenants wishes to surrender his AST tenancy which runs from Aug 6th 2012 to Aug 5th 2013, and I am happy to agree to this, but want to get it in writing now (he plans to surrender on Nov 30th).
If he agrees to surrender it and I agree to accept the surrender, have we both provided consideration (by giving up our legal rights to continue with the tenancy)?
Any advice on this point would be much appreciated.
