Have had property privately rented 2 years owned out right. 8 months ago gave daughter a 6 month assured short let nenewed in October 2012 again on a 6 month assured short let.
She has broken up with partner and can now not afford rent and has applied for HB.
Local authority are asking all sort of questions understandably with the close family connection. However they are asking questions about her previous tenancy with me that did not require HB is this a statutory requirement? I must admit I don't like the tone of the questions they are asuming this is a contrived tenancy which it is not. Inddeed I have had to start eviction proceedings as the rent on this propery pays my mortgage. Any advice gratefully received
