1 year tenancy given to LHA Tenant, will council allow a periodic tenancy ?

Hi All,

Just wanted to clarify, I signed up to a scheme to take on a LHA T, and the minimum term is 1 year after which I can renew/evict etc. What I want to know however is before the 1 year expires, will the council insist that I issue another renewal or can the tenancy just become periodic.

I personally want it to become periodic so as to watch what will happen with UC and direct payments.

Any ideas anyone ?
