Sorry guys, I know I've bored you lately with my questions regarding this 1960's flat.
I just saw my builder today, and showed him my spec which asks him to scrape off these tiles. (I can do a whole room in about a day with a steam stripper, so I know it is certainly possible.)
Being a builder, the guy started telling me how labour intensive it was, and suggested pouring floor leveller over the whole lot before laying vinyl. My problem with this is, that surely then you are relying on the old tile glue to hold down your new floor? Is this really a good idea?
