How can landlord remove deposit from Tenancy Deposit Scheme

Hi All,

I have a property on let currently fully managed by an agent, charging 10%.

I have decided I no longer require this service and would like to manage it myself.

The agency registered the deposit with the TDS.

The tenancy expires in May. What happens to the deposit after I take control? Do I need to transfer it over to another scheme or so they no longer appear on the record?

I search the UID code and the agent is listed on there, with me as the lannlord and the tenants names listed.

Also for some reason it is showing the end date at 05/07/2011.

Is this correct? The current AST runs till 05/07/2013...Should the agent have renewed this?
