The notice period on the tenancy has expired on a garage tenancy and the former tenant, who is a hoarder, has not removed her goods.
I have now served formal notice on a tenant of a garage that I will dispose of her goods. I suspect she will not remove them.
Her house is a few doors up the road. If she doesn't remove her goods when the disposal notice expires, I'd love to dump them on her doorstep within her curtilage but assume that isn't legal as they might get rain damaged if she isn't present.
So I would be grateful if any forum members can advise me how to manage selling any saleable goods when we'll only know what is in garages when they are cleared. The tenancy agreement is silent on disposal.
Would it be ok to get bids from 2 clearance companies and accept the highest? Any other recommendations?
Thanks in advance.
