I'm thinking of applying to the lvt in an attempt to replace the management of the freehold company of the building which I have a flat in. Someone has told me that it is extremely difficult to get a successful outcome because many landlords simply runaround like headless chickens addressing all the failings before the trail. But the delimna I face is that if I don't pursue the freehold company, it will continue to neglect the building and if I do pursue, it will deal with the problems but leave me with a legal bill and the same managing agent which will slip back into its old lazy ways. Can anyone offer any advice on this matter?
