Engineer visit - who should stay in?

Hi,

Thanks in advance for any repsonses.

I need to arrange an engineer visit for the dishwasher which has broken down. The engineer can only come Mon-Fri 8am-3.30pm. As the tenants work full time 9-5, they are refusing to stay at the property as they will lose a days holiday or pay.

Whose repsonsibilty would it be - mine as the landlord or the tenants as the occupiers of the property?
