My T has recently left my property so I'm getting it ready for the next T.
The house has a top back yard, a garden, and then a parking space. There is a brick wall down the left hand side of the above.
On the other side of the wall is a council garden with trees, bushes and grassed area. In the corner near my house, is a monster plant and it's invading my yard and garden, coming up through the cracks in the slabs.
I've tried to google it but can't see it to find the name. It is like a raspberry plant. It shoots up about 10' or so then curves back down to about a foot off the ground. Every part of the plant is covered in barbed hooks, even the underside of the leaves. I've tried to cut it back but the barbs get stuck in my skin, clothes and hair. The barbs cut me quite deeply and then the cuts go septic. One nearly had my eye out!
The plant is now coming up through the cracks in between the slabs in the yard. Although I put weedkiller on it every day it's not having much effect. The sprayed leaves wither but it grows so quickly that there are new leaves the next day.
I've phoned the council about it a few times over the years and they will come and cut it back eventually, but it just grows back. Several of my Ts have complained about it over the years as it has scratched their children.
What can I do?
