I normally buy property and put my own tenants in. There is a property which is up for auction next month which has a tenant already living in the property. I will be viewing the property later this week. I will find out if the tenant is on an AST and not a regulated tenancy. If I purchase the property is it as straight forward as getting the tenant to begin a new AST on the day of completion or is it more complicated than that? and what other issues should i be aware of?
