Hi, I have new tennants that moved in on 10th Nov(family with 2 young children) into a flat I refurbished in Sep/Oct.
The person upstairs has lodged a noise complaint citing 2 instances. Loud music on a Sunday night and then a party last Saturday night. For the party, the tennant drew up a nice 1 pager and posted it to neighbours on their floor, below and above to notify them of the party.
The complanant also mentioned the party started at 5:10pm but he was unaware when it stopped as he went out for the evening.
Whilst renovating the same chap, flat directly above, complained twice to me. Once for wallpaper scraping which I had stopped at 7:30pm(although he said it went on till 10pm) and the next occasion for hammering in carpet gripper rod on a Saturday at about 6pm.
The fact there is laminate flooring also seems to be an issue.
I feel all these accusations are a little unreasonable especially having been complained at myself.
Would appreciate advice on how to handle this and respond to the management company.
