I am a tenant on an AST that commenced on the 1st June 2002 and expired on the 31st November 2002 and has been periodic ever since.
My tenancy agreement states
and from month to month thereafter until terminated upon either once calendar months notice being given by the tenant or two calendar months notice by landlord at a rental of £800 pcm
Does this mean that I need to serve notice on the landlord on or before the last day of the month (e.g. April 30th) or can it be served an any time during the month as long as the notice period exceeds one month? My understanding is that it is the former but agreement doesn't explicitly state that.
