Just something I have noticed, and need clarification in case
a flat here gets sold ( again )
When flats get sold here, the sellers solicitor asks the freeholder
the questions about the G.rent / service charges, and all the
other 30 questions one gets.
I would have thought that the buyers Solicitor would contact
the freeholder ? but no, the seller passes all the other parties
( buyer ) questions to the freeholder, and the seller then passes
the info on to the buyer ?
To me that is not right, as the seller can send what they like,
or not, to the buyer ?
They can rewrite the the answers the freeholder gave, they can
say everything is in order, even if not.
Surly the Buyer should ask the freeholder, so that there is no
chance the seller can pull the wool over the buyers eyes ?
Seems the buyer is at the mercy of the seller ?
Can someone confirm that this "odd" practice is the norm
