Hi all,
I was hoping someone could advise on a situation with joint tenants.
A friend has entered into a contract with 5 joint tenants listed on the contract.
L is threatening to serve notice as some of the JT's do not get on. I am aware that notice woudl be served on all, as JT's are treated as one.
However the maximum amount of JT's on one contract is 4. The fact that there are 5 on this contract - does that make the contract null and void? Can the tenants argue they are not joint tenants due to the number listed on the contrcat and are in fact sole tenants?
I have not really come across this before so any advice appreciated.
Thanks.
